- Nick: so when's your class that i have to take?
- Me: alas, it did not pan out. Honestly, the worst part is that you won't be able to show up and insult me in front of my students

- Nick: of course, it's possible you're lying to me now so i won't try and find it
- Me: lolol oh if only
- Nick: clever girl. so what happened, how come you're not doing it?
- Me: they wanted to use someone else, someone w/ more experience
- Nick: but don't they care that i had a great joke set up for your teaching?
- Me: I know... academic aholes
- Nick: if you want, i could just go into an office you work in or something and go for the joke there. i just don't think it'll have the same relevance. Or i mean i could still do it. Just for you
- Me: you really are a wonderful person. I just don't deserve you.

- Me: I mean who else would find out I didn't get a dream job and then offer to make a joke at my expense?
